Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m) & Transfer to Hotel

Upon arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Explore Holiday Treks. After a brief introduction, you’ll be transferred to your luxurious hotel in the heart of the bustling Thamel area. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and recovering from your flight, and enjoy a comfortable night in a premium hotel. In the evening, you’ll have a briefing session to prepare for the upcoming trek, and you’ll also have the chance to meet your guide and fellow trekkers.

Day 2 : Fly to Lukla (2,820 m) & Trek to Phakding (2,645 m) – 4 Hours

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you’ll head to the airport for your scenic flight to Lukla. The 35-minute flight offers breathtaking views of the mountains, including Everest, as you approach the Tenzing-Hillary Airport, perched on the edge of a cliff. Once in Lukla, your trek begins with a gentle downhill hike to Phakding. Along the way, you’ll pass through charming Sherpa villages and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Dudh Koshi River. You’ll stay at a luxurious lodge in Phakding where you can enjoy delicious meals and unwind in comfort.

Day 9 : Trek to Dzongla (4,830 m) – 6 Hours

Today, the trek continues from Thangnak to Dzongla, which is located at the base of the famous Cho La Pass. The altitude is higher, so you’ll notice the air thinning, but the beauty of the landscape more than compensates for the challenging conditions. Day 12 : Early Morning Kala Patthar (5,545 m) & Trek to Pheriche or Pangboche (4,240 m)

Today is one of the most exciting days of the trek: you’ll rise early to climb the famous Kala Patthar (5,545 m), the highest point of your trek. From the summit, you’ll experience unparalleled panoramic views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, you’ll return to Gorak Shep for a hearty breakfast. you’ll descend to the village of Pheriche or Pangboche for the night.

Day 13 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) – 6-7 Hours

The trek from Pheriche/Pangboche to Namche is mostly downhill, but still offers plenty of beautiful scenery. Once you arrive back in Namche, you’ll have the opportunity to relax at your luxury lodge and enjoy a warm meal.
