Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and Transfer to Hotel

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. After checking in, you will have time to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, you will join your fellow climbers for a welcome dinner. Here, you will meet your expedition leader and guides, and they will provide an overview of the Ama Dablam Expedition. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 : Fly to Lukla then Trek to Phakding (2,800m/9,187ft, 3-4 hrs)

Early in the morning, we take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. The 30-minute flight offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. Upon landing in Lukla, we begin our trek to Phakding. The trail descends through a forested path, crossing several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. We pass through traditional Sherpa villages and monasteries. After a few hours of trekking, we reach Phakding, where we will spend the night in a teahouse.

Day 3 : Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft, 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast, we continue our trek along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. The trail takes us through pine forests and small villages. We will cross several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail becomes steeper as we climb to Namche Bazaar. This bustling Sherpa town is the main trading hub of the Khumbu region. Upon arrival, you can explore the local markets and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Day 4 : Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft)

Today is a rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. To help adjust to the altitude, we take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel, which offers panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. On the way back, we visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery. In the afternoon, you can explore the narrow streets of Namche Bazaar, visit local bakeries, and interact with the friendly Sherpa people. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

Day 5 : Trek from Namche Bazaar to Debuche (3,700m/12,140ft, 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast, we leave Namche Bazaar and follow the trail with gradual ups and downs, offering magnificent views of the Himalayas. We pass through rhododendron forests and cross the Imja Khola via a suspension bridge. Climbing steadily, we reach the village of Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. After visiting the monastery, we descend through a forested path to Debuche. The serene environment and close-up views of Ama Dablam make Debuche an ideal place to stay for the night. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

Day 6 : Trek from Debuche to Pheriche (4,288m/14,069ft, 5-6 hrs)

Today, we continue our trek towards Pheriche. The trail descends through rhododendron and juniper forests, crossing several streams. As we ascend, the landscape becomes more barren, and the air thinner. We pass through the village of Pangboche, where we can visit the oldest monastery in the region. Continuing our trek, we reach Pheriche, a small village known for its high-altitude research center. Here, you can attend a lecture on altitude sickness and acclimatization. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

Day 7 : Acclimatization Day in Pheriche (4,288m/14,069ft)

Today is another acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the high altitude. We will take a short hike up the surrounding hills for better acclimatization and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and the Imja Valley. You can also explore Pheriche and visit the Himalayan Rescue Association Clinic, which provides medical services to trekkers and climbers. The rest of the day is free to rest and prepare for the upcoming ascent to Ama Dablam Base Camp. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

Day 8 : Trek from Pheriche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,570m/14,994ft, 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast, we leave Pheriche and head towards Ama Dablam Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends, offering stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other peaks. We cross several streams and pass through yak pastures before reaching the base camp. Upon arrival, we set up our camp and settle in. The base camp is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by towering peaks. This will be our home for the next few days as we prepare for the ascent. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 9 : Acclimatization and Pre-climb Training at Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,570m/14,994ft)

Today is dedicated to acclimatization and pre-climb training at Ama Dablam Base Camp. Our experienced climbing guides will conduct training sessions on the use of climbing equipment, including crampons, ice axes, and fixed ropes. We will practice techniques for ascending and descending on fixed lines, and review safety protocols. This training is crucial for ensuring a safe and successful climb. In the afternoon, you have time to rest and mentally prepare for the challenging days ahead. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 10 : Ascending and Descending Ama Dablam (6,856m/22,495ft)

Over the next 15 days, we will undertake the ascent and descent of Ama Dablam. This period includes establishing higher camps, acclimatization climbs, and rest days. Our route will take us through Camp 1, Camp 2, and Camp 3 before reaching the summit. Each camp provides a unique set of challenges and stunning views. The climb involves steep rock, ice, and snow sections, requiring technical skills and determination. The summit day will be the most demanding, but the reward of standing atop Ama Dablam and witnessing the panoramic views of the Himalayas is indescribable. After summiting, we will carefully descend back to base camp. Overnight stays will be in tents at the respective camps.

Day 25 : Trek from Ama Dablam Base Camp to Lukla (2,800m/9,187ft)

After successfully summiting Ama Dablam, we begin our trek back to Lukla. The trail retraces our steps through the beautiful landscapes of the Khumbu region. We will pass through familiar villages and enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people. The trek provides an opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey and celebrate our achievement. Upon reaching Lukla, we will have a final celebration with our team. Overnight stays in teahouses.

Day 27 : Fly back to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft)

Early in the morning, we take a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. The short but scenic flight offers a final glimpse of the majestic Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, explore the city, or do some last-minute shopping. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful expedition. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 28 : Final Departure

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you will have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Our representative will then transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
